HISTORY

‘THE VILLAGE’

Strath Village Shopping Centre was officially opened on 1st December 1987 by the Hon. Robert Fordham MP, Deputy Premier of Victoria and Minister for Industry, Technology and Resources.

Locally owned and operated, Strath Village is a community based shopping centre. The strategic direction and management is overseen via a strata management system, which includes the body corporate, owners and executive team. Best practice management has contributed to the long-term success of Strath Village as a thriving shopping centre and community environment.

Ideally situated approximately 4 kms from the heart of Bendigo’s CBD, our catchment area includes greater Bendigo, the Strathdale region servicing approx. 5,686 local residents and a further 4,650 residents in the greater Strathfieldsaye region*.

Strath Village includes 5,964 sqm of retail space and employs over 100 local staff. There are currently 38 businesses/stores operating within the Centre and 1-3 retail spaces still available within our ‘link way’ area which connects with the newly developed Kennington Village, please see LEASING tab for more information on vacancies.
