Pristine Drycleaners is owned and operated by Gareth and Siobhan Tawton. Gareth has over 25 years experience in the industry. 20 of those years were spent in Canberra with Australias largest franchised drycleaners. He and Siobhan moved to Bendigo in June 2005 and opened Pristine in October that year. Gareth is a past winner of the prestigious "AUSTRALIAN DRYCLEANER OF THE YEAR AWARD". As a result he has had the opportunity to undertake a world study tour of leading drycleaners and equipment manufacturers around the world.
Siobhan was born in County Cork Ireland and trained to become fully qualified chef. After touring the world she met and married Gareth in 2000 and has been involved in the industry ever since. Her vast experience in the hospitality industry has helped her instill a high level of customer service in all the staff at Pristine.
Pristine is one of only hand full of drycleaners in the country who can claim to do everything on site. We have both traditional perchlorethylene solvent as well as more modern hydrocarbon. Couple this with and extensive wet cleaning system and you soon see why Pristine has a such a wonderful reputation. We can do it all onsite at our High St premises from elaborate beaded and sequined bridal wear to suede and leather. Our industrial arm also allows us to cater for the hospitality industry with table linen hire as well as cleaning and pressing customer own goods. We also cater for bulk laundry from residents clothing in aged care facilities to greasy overalls from the engineers and mechanics.
BRIDAL AND FORMAL WEAR
All Bridle and Formal wear is cleaned on site at our Head Office 161 High St Bendigo. Gareth is a qualified stain removalist, having completed the intensive International Fabricare Institutes advanced spotting Course. Pristine also offers a whole sale cleaning service for several bridal outlets as well as other drycleaners around the country.
CURTAIN CLEANING
Pristine Drycleaners are Bendigo’s leading curtain cleaners. All curtains have an inherent risk when cleaning. Often curtains are quite old and invariably exposed to large amounts of sun light which in turn begins to breakdown the material and can be particularly harmful to rubber and acrylic backing. Our state of the art hydrocarbon machine has been designed the specifically to minimize the risk when cleaning these types of fabrics. We also offer a take down and rehang service. TABLE LINEN
Pristine Drycleaners are the only drycleaners in Bendigo who offer a onsite full laundry service for table linen. Our roller press is specifically designed for this purpose and allow us to offer a traditional starched finish to table linen. We are now the largest supplier of hire linen in Bendigo. We supply table linen to the majority of Bendigo’s restaurants, function centres and catering companies.
